William Penterman

Choosing Common Ground: A Case Study in Bipartisanship

 


William Penterman was born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin in 1996. After graduating from Fox Valley Lutheran High School, he received his bachelor’s degree in politics and government from Ripon College. Penterman previously served in the United States Army and is currently a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is also a substitute teacher. Penterman is very active in his community, serving as a member of the Dodge County Farm Bureau, the Columbia County GOP (membership chair), the Columbus Kiwanis Club, Zion Lutheran Church (treasurer), Phi Beta Kappa, the NRA, Adopt-A-Highway, and the Historical Society of Wisconsin Board of Curators. He was first elected to the Assembly in a special election in July 2021, and was reelected to a full-term in 2022. Penterman currently lives in Columbus, Wisconsin, with his wife and child.
