Dean Urdahl
Choosing Common Ground: A Case Study in Bipartisanship
Dean Urdahl was first elected to the Minnesota House in 2002. He currently serves as the Republican lead on the Capital Investment Committee, and is a member of the Education Policy Committee. For over 30 years, Urdahl worked as a teacher and coach in the New London-Spicer school district. He has been appointed to a number of groups by the governor, including the state Board of Nursing, the Commission on Public Service Reform, and the Minnesota Education in Agricultural Leadership Council. Urdahl has also written a number of historical fiction books. He has a bachelor’s degree in social studies from St. Cloud State University.
