Anna Moeller has served in the Illinois House of Representatives since 2014. A Democrat from Elgin, Moeller currently is chair of the Human Services Committee and vice chair of the Appropriations–Human Services Committee. She also is a member of the Elementary and Secondary Education: Administration, Licensing and Charter Schools Committee; Energy and Environment Committee; Health Care Licenses Committee; and Public Utilities Committee. Moeller is an experienced public administration professional working in economic development, community planning, budgeting, and non-profit management. In 2012, she was named to the inaugural class of the Edgar Fellowship program created by former Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar and was admitted into the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society for Public Administration and Public Policy in 1999. Moeller is an active volunteer in the Elgin community and has served on the Human Relations Commission and the Planning and Development Commission. She also served as vice president of the Northeast Neighborhood Association, treasurer of the Channing Elementary School PTO, tutor for the Literacy Connection, member of the design team for the Elgin Math and Science Elementary School, and an elected member of the Elgin City Council. Moeller has a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University. A 2017 graduate of the Bowhay Institute, Moeller is co-chair of the BILLD Steering Committee and a member of the Midwestern Legislative Conference Executive Committee.
